Careswell Children Project

Every child in our care gets the basics covered, and then some. That means good food, clean clothes, proper hygiene, medical care when they need it, and someone watching over them, day and night.

We stay close to their schooling too – helping with homework, talking to teachers, making sure they get to class and get involved in sport, clubs and everything else school has to offer.

Growing up takes more than food and school, though. We run life skills workshops and developmental programmes designed to help each child grow emotionally, intellectually and socially, at their own pace.

A lot of the real work happens in the everyday moments. Our care team walks alongside children through their daily routines, using "life space counselling" to help them build trust, work through trauma and develop the self-discipline they'll need for life ahead. It's mentorship built into ordinary days, not just scheduled sessions.

We also make space for fun and connection: sport, arts and crafts, and outings that let children engage with their community and grow up as normally as possible.

None of this happens alone. We work hand in hand with social workers, caseworkers, health professionals and families to build care plans, track progress and move steadily toward what's best for each child — whether that's reintegration with family or a path to independent living.

And underneath all of it, we protect children's legal and human rights, and keep careful, accurate records of every case, every programme and every step of the journey.
