Deaf Federation of South Africa

The Deaf Federation of South Africa (DeafSA), founded in 1929 as the South African National Council for the Deaf (later renamed DeafSA), is the national non-profit organisation that represents and advocates for the rights and interests of Deaf people in South Africa. Its mission is to promote, protect, and uphold the human rights of Deaf People, and it is also an ordinary member of the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD), representing South Africa's Deaf community at the global level.
