Khululeka Grief Support

Khululeka Grief Support is a South African non-profit organisation established in 2005 to support children affected by grief and loss. Over the past 20 years, our work has evolved to address the broader mental health and psychosocial challenges facing children, families and schools. We deliver evidence-informed, trauma-informed programmes that help children recover from grief, violence, abuse and other adverse experiences while building resilience and emotional wellbeing.  Working primarily through schools and community partnerships, our services include grief support groups, violence prevention programmes, individual counselling, teacher and caregiver wellbeing initiatives, and capacity building for organisations and professionals. Our mission is to strengthen the resilience of children and adolescents by creating safe, supportive environments where they can heal, learn and thrive. By equipping both children and the adults who care for them with practical skills and support, we help build stronger families, safer schools and more resilient communities, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
