Mqanduli community advice office

empowerment of vulnerable communities through human rights education on community outreach programs focusing mainly on children's rights, women and community in general. Our organisation is involved in consumer rights , labour rights, women and children's rights, ex mine worker's rights, access to justice. Currently we are faced with a challenge of children who do not have birth certificates, some of the reasons are that their mothers did not have birth certificates due to the attitude of government officials and sometimes due to lack of information. most of the children had been abandoned by their biological mothers who dumped their children to be cared for by their grand mothers of both from their mother's side and father's side. This gives extra pressure and burden to the grand mothers who have to use their old age grants to support these children.
