Zamukulungisa Foundation ("to fix, to make right") is a community development NPC based in Tsolo, King Mhlontlo Local Municipality, Eastern Cape, bridging the structural gaps facing marginalised rural communities. Across five pillars — health justice, gender equity, digital access, youth empowerment and community economic development — we deliver evidence-based programmes: the Hug a Child Drive provides complete school uniforms to vulnerable primary-school children, lifting attendance from 45% to 88%; Keep a Girl Safe delivers a 16-session safety, dignity and menstrual-health curriculum to girls aged 12–18, cutting menstrual absenteeism by 66%; the Kongamano Heritage & Creative Assembly creates talent, sport and arts pathways for youth across 12 villages; and Knowledge on Wheels brings first-time digital literacy to underserved wards. In 2025 we reached 798 direct beneficiaries with 73% of funding flowing directly to them. Aligned with the National Strategy to Accelerate Action for Children, we work through ward committees, Traditional Houses and government partnerships to fix what is broken — and keep it fixed.
