This research publication falls under the overarching School Dropout series, which is an ongoing effort to change how society thinks about dropout and dropout-related issues. For the past two years, Zero Dropout Campaign has been working with the Department of Basic Education (DBE) on its Psychosocial Support Strategy, supporting the development of relevant policy and initiatives. As our partnership has grown, we have realised that there is still a great deal of work necessary to educate and advocate for the provision of psychosocial support not just in the public mind but even in the education sector. As such, our newest research delves deeper into psychosocial support research from across the globe to surface new insights and practices that could be replicated in South Africa.
