Kids Theatre Academy is an arts education organisation that advocates for children's right to play, create, imagine and express themselves through theatre. We use theatre as a medium for learning, storytelling, creativity and personal development, creating safe and nurturing spaces where children can explore their voices, identities, ideas and experiences through play and performance. Our work focuses particularly on children and young people in marginalised and underserved communities, where access to quality arts education and creative opportunities is often limited.
Through theatre, music, storytelling, movement and performance, we provide children with opportunities to develop confidence, communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking. At Kids Theatre Academy, we believe that play is a fundamental right of every child. We use the arts not only to create performances, but as a tool for education, empowerment, community engagement and social transformation. We believe every child has a story worth telling, a voice worth hearing, and the right to a space where they can play, create and be seen.
