Ladles of Love

Ladles of Love is a South African non-profit organisation dedicated to nourishing lives and building communities through love, dignity, and compassion. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to fight hunger and food insecurity while uplifting the most vulnerable, especially children. We do this by sourcing, preparing, and distributing nutritious food to schools, early childhood development centres and community kitchens. Since our beginnings with a single soup kitchen, Ladles of Love has grown into a large-scale food network that has served millions of meals and distributed thousands of tonnes of food. Our main program today is our Nourish Our Children program, where we provide young learners with two nutritious meals a day, giving them the nourishment they need to grow, learn, and thrive. At the heart of all we do is love in action — mobilising volunteers, partners, and communities to be part of the solution. With every meal served, we affirm the dignity of each person and bring hope where it is needed most.
