Womandla Foundation is a women-led non-profit working to close the gender gap across Africa by 2030. Its mission is to educate, empower and equip 50 000 women and girls through strategic pillars: mentorship, STEAM, entrepreneurship and development. These pillars align with the global goals of good health, quality education and gender equality.
Through its entrepreneurship programmes, Womandla offers financial literacy training, business growth support, practical workshops and networking opportunities, helping women turn ideas into sustainable ventures. Its mentorship initiatives focus on young women, particularly in secondary school, to support personal growth, academic achievement and goal setting.
In the STEAM space, Womandla champions girls aged 15–18 from disadvantaged communities, providing skills-building programmes, leadership development and recognition through the Women in STEAM Awards.
By combining education, mentorship and hands-on opportunities, Womandla empowers women to lead confidently, innovate boldly and contribute meaningfully to their communities and economies—building a more equitable and inclusive Africa.
